Our passionate Mahi Taiao team clear the land of pests and invasive species and revegetate our native species to help restore our land and our waterways.
Land & Catchment Restoration
We work alongside landowners, councils, government agencies, and communities to restore land and waterways, creating healthier environments for future generations. Our dedicated team restores native biodiversity through large-scale revegetation, wetland restoration, riparian planting, invasive plant management, and predator control. We deliver projects across the takiwā, including our Wai Whakaata Project, where we've planted more than 150,000 native plants and restored over 9 hectares of wetlands and riparian corridors.
Our team also has extensive experience in the planning, consenting, and civil works required to design and install sediment traps. These systems reduce nutrient loading and improve the quality of water flowing into Wai Whakaata, supporting the recovery of this important roto. As the ecosystem regenerates, we're already seeing native birds return to the area to feed, breed, and nest.
